flux vortex

flux vortex is a producer and DJ who seeks and emulates liminal spaces through his music, which he fills with speedy beats, driving rhythms, deep grooves and textural patchworks inspired by jazz and soul. He imagines a timeless dance floor that could never exist–– the perfect party–– and experiments with sound sampling and voice manipulation to blur boundaries towards many communal encounters. He considers music to have the property of dilating and compressing time, where experiencing sound is different from one’s mundane interaction with time, where things can become malleable and less rigid.
